Summit Drilling, LLC proudly marks the one-year anniversary of its restructured Remediation Division, an evolution that has transformed a focused, regional capability into a comprehensive, multi-regional platform delivering integrated environmental solutions across the Eastern United States.
What began as a single injection skid operation in New Jersey has grown into a full-service remediation division supporting projects from Maine to Florida. Today, Summit's Remediation Division delivers a wide range of services that support customers through every stage of site redevelopment, from initial site characterization and drilling through full-scale remediation and system implementation.
Under the leadership of Vice President of Remediation, Joseph Negro, the Division has established a strong operational presence with dedicated teams in the Greater Philadelphia/New York/New Jersey and Greater Charlotte metro areas. These strategically positioned operations enable rapid response to diverse environmental challenges, while maintaining the consistency, safety, and performance standards Summit is known for.
"Our focus over the past year has been on building something much greater than a collection of services," said Mr. Negro. "We've been integrating people, technologies, and processes into a unified platform that delivers real value to our clients, whether they're addressing complex subsurface conditions or advancing large-scale redevelopment projects."
The division's capabilities now include vapor mitigation and treatment system installation, large scale earthwork and site preparation, soil mixing technologies such as In-Situ Stabilization (ISS), In-Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO), and Single Column Mixing (SCM), as well as multi-point injection and other advanced remediation techniques. These services are supported by Summit's broader expertise in geotechnical and environmental drilling, geophysical investigations, and downhole analytics.
This milestone is also the result of strategic growth initiatives, including the integration of industry-leading firms such as South Atlantic Environmental Drilling and Construction Co., Inc. (SAEDACCO), Subsurface Environmental Technologies (SET), and TPI Environmental. Combined with Summit's legacy of drilling excellence dating back to the 1950s in the Northeast and over 30 years of experience in the Southeast, the division represents a powerful blend of institutional knowledge and forward-looking innovation.
Following its 2025 restructuring, the Remediation Division is now positioned to deliver a seamless, end-to-end solution—eliminating the need for multiple contractors and providing clients with greater efficiency, accountability, and project control.
As Summit looks ahead, the focus remains on continued growth, investment in emerging technologies, and strengthening the teams that drive project success in the field.
"This first year has been about building the foundation," Mr. Negro added. "What comes next is about scaling that foundation to meet the evolving needs of our customers and the environmental challenges ahead."
